Belle's cut foot

Postby Karen too » Thu Jul 15, 2004 2:31 pm

Hi, I need help... suggestions on how to keep a Brittany calm, quiet for two weeks.

Just shoot me!

Belle cut the top of her left hind foot this morning. I don't know how. Maybe on a rock or a stick. No way to tell. Well, stitches required and two weeks of no exercise, no SWIMMING, her favorite daily summertime activity, and no playing with Beau, essentially.

Any tips to help us all survive this time are welcome.

Thanks

Hi ,
That's kinda like trying to keep a two year old calm . Seriously , if the dog is crate trained I would crate this dog alot more till the cut heals . There are some over the counter sedatives you could use in moderation also . One called Calms worked for me . Don't know if this helps ! Goood Luck 8)

Boy....that's a tough one. You can try keeping her on a leash and with you when she's out of her crate, and crating her when you can't keep a leash on her.

Lots of REALLY good chewies to keep her occupied and give her some kind of outlet for all that pent up energy, and a little rescue remedy to keep her calm.

That's about all I can think of right now.
