JJ is trim and fit

we've had JJ for a year now...went to the vet for his yearly check up...he weighed 53 pounds :D ...when his previous family gave him up, he weighed 79 pounds :shock:
vet said he is good weight, well muscled and should just maintain...yeah!!!

It's great when you can keep the weight off these dogs. They look really beautiful when they are trim and in shape. Layla goes to the vet next week so will be curious what she has to say. Excess weight has never been a problem for Layla as she rarely does anything at less than the speed of lightening!!

Wow! It just amazes me when I hear the size/weight of some of these brittanys! Maggie was my biggest, and at the most, she only weighed 42lbs. Good for you and good for JJ for getting off that extra weight!

Our two older dogs, Trapper and Kallie, look fit. Our girl, CharLee, has been putting weight on and looked a little on the blimpie side. We started mixing green beans and giving her less kibble in the morning, then giving her a normal meal at night. It helped somewhat but what REALLY helped was getting Teddy, our puppy who chases her around. I call him her trainer. :wink:
