Thanks for the update, Ron. I was wondering how things were going for you. Will send healthy thoughts your way! Get lots of Brittany kisses too, ok?

Being patient and gathering all the information has to be the hardest part. I'm sure you'd just like to be going down whatever "path" you decide on and get the treatment moving along. If you keep us updated we'll all keep you upbeat. Hang in there Ron.

Had to Google that. Sounds like it is still localized then and hopefully that gives you options that are easier to deal. Continuing to send happy and healthy thoughts your way. :D

If you are confused maybe the following will help you understand better:

http://urology.ucsf.edu/patientGuides/p ... atment.pdf

Quoting from the article....."Low Risk – The PSA is under 10, and the clinical stage is T1c or T2a, and the Gleason score is 6
or below. The likelihood of cancer recurrence is relatively low after treatment, and any one of the approaches attempting a cure of the cancer can be considered as the sole primary treatment method to be undertaken."

This sounds like "good news" in a bad news situation. My DH tries to keep informed about this as he is in his middle 70's and doesn't want to be caught unawares.

Hope all goes well for whatever you need to do...we're pulling for you.

From my limited knowledge I would agree that this is good news. Now you just need to decide on the course of treatment and get going on it. We're all pulling for you so hang in there Ron.

I'm sure your surgery will go well Ron. We're all pulling for you here. Glad to hear you won't be in the hospital for long. Home is always the best place to recuperate in my opinion. Best wishes headed your way.
