Young Kitten Needs Home

Postby Muddy Creek Britts » Mon Aug 08, 2011 8:22 pm

If anyone in the southern PA/ northern MD area wants a kitten, I have a sweet one for you. About 8 weeks old. Been living in one of our trees in the middle of a thicket for the past few days. Would sit on a branch about eye level, until I made a move to get closer. Then up the tree it went. Finally lured to the point I could scruff it and bring it in...of course after ripping my legs and arms apart on thorns, treading through poison oak. We're thinking someone dumped it off. Very light orange....maybe tiger-striped. Not exactly sure yet. Not sure about sex at the moment neither. Got it in the dogs' crate for the time being to acclimate to the house. Dogs are a bit too hyper at the moment to trust it out with them. Let me know if interested. Very cute kitten.

Oh, I think maybe another homeless creature got the word from Mother Nature where to go to find a safe haven. May as well give it a name Brian, it's yours now :P

LOL....Funniest damn thing is that I felt the need to catch this kitty before Storm, the groundhog/possum killer, got ahold of her....it is officially a she. The 2 of our 4 cats, whom we got as strays on our property, were cornered by Storm. If not for an elevated shelf or beam, Storm would've probably killed them. Well, after letting her out of the crate under heavy supervision, the li'l kitty is attached to Storm, and he to her. Maggie is still a bit unsure, but in no way mean...more like "oh-no-here she comes." Timber observes his daddy and will go up to the kitty, but won't lay down and let her rub all over him. Annie is playing the good aunt again. But Storm is losing sleep watching her in the crate at night, hardly goes out to potty without trying to beat everyone to the door. And the kitty just follows him around adoringly. He has taken to this kitty quicker than he did his own pups. Proud of my boy once again.

Let's see....the names I've chosen for two of our cats: Mister Pusser and Miss Puss. Maybe this one should be named Miss Titties. Just imagine me outside early in the morning calling my cats, "Where's my PussPuss and Titties?" :P

Well, I think a kitty who worships Storm deserves a name a little more elegant, perhaps even royal. Brian, I know that weird imagination of yours can come up with something a little more suitable than an alley tag  :P

I stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few things this afternoon. Got in line behind a gentleman who bought only 1 roll of paper towels and 1 can of cat food. Had to check to make sure it wasn't Brian!

Well, since she follows Storm perhaps you could name her Blizzard, or Tornado, or Puddles - whichever is appropriate to her personality.

Then you could call her "Kat" for short. That fits in with the themes of Mr and Mrs Puss.

If she were white or gray you could call her "Cloud". Ya know, Storm Cloud, since she's following him everywhere  . But since she's orange, I dunno, Sunny?
