Poor, poor Emma

Postby MaggieRocks » Sat Oct 24, 2009 9:13 am

DH just left to go pheasant hunting with Maggie and left Emma behind. She is sitting in the living room on the couch, looking out the window. Every now and then, I hear this heavy sigh!!!

How did you find such an evil husband :?: :P I was so crazed and sleep-deprived this morning that I took all 3 of mine out at the same time. And that was with 3 dogs, a 2-dog collar system, one of which isn't holding a charge. I've never cussed so much, echoing across the countryside.  Then it was coming home to baths for everyone....think that took a couple hours alone, trying to find every last tick, and there were a bunch as usual. They really need to do something about the tick population in this state.

Yes, the ticks are horrible, aren't they?!!! Every time I come in from a walk with the girls, I think I pull 2 dozen ticks off Maggie alone!!!

Emma was left at home because DH was by himself and Emma isn't as well-trained/well-behaved as Maggie. (And apparently, DH isn't a glutton for punishment like Brian  ) But he said he'll take Emma out Monday after work. In fact, he recruited his brother and our nephew to meet him, so he might take both girls.

Good news is, he got his 2 pheasants yesterday. In fact, he said Maggie got 7 birds up! Unfortunately, the limit is 2 per day around here. :(
