DH is so proud of his girls!

Took them pheasant hunting this afternoon. Said he got to the state gamelands, and 4 hunters were just leaving the field, empty handed, with a German Shorthair and an English setter. He sent Maggie and Emma in, and Maggie immediately found a pheasant and Emma flushed it out. He said the 4 hunters just stood at the top of the hill watching and shaking their heads!

Wonderful !! And I bet there are "4 hunters" now in the market for a Brittany :D Right on Maggie and Emma.....we're all proud of you, VERY proud, but not in the least surprised :)

They did it again! They went out this morning to the club, and a friend was just leaving with his chocolate lab-no pheasants. DH said Maggie & Emma found 3 pheasants in the same area!

He was really tickled about yesterday, though. He said the hunters & dogs were leaving, but when he went to the field with the girls, the GSP followed them. Maggie can be funny sometimes with other dogs...in fact, she can be downright snarky if she's in a mood. So DH put the girls in a down. The GSP came sniffing all around Maggie, and she didn't even move (although I'm sure she gave him some dirty looks, lol!)

The GSP's owner was on top of the hill yelling at his dog come, and finally had to walk back down to get him. He told DH that the girls sure listen better than his dogs!
