Well, Lucky was really just tormenting the bird [pawing at it, barking, mouthing it, etc] so I shut him in a room. I thought that maybe our cat would eat it or kill it or something...but heaven forbid she get her paws dirty on a bird. So she left the scene...leaving me and the bird alone. I swear it...

Wow, same here. Lucky has the roughest pads ever. I was contemplating buying him some "Paw Moisturizer" that I saw somewhere when out shopping. Couldn't help it, I burst out laughing when I saw it!!And her pads are so rough they will scratch skin.
