Re: Snow advice needed

I'm guessing no one wants to hear I played ball with the pups in 70 degree weather yesterday afternoon. Don't worry though, we pay for it in the summer. Come July and August, our dogs get a little stir crazy being cooped up all the time. When its 115 degrees outside even the puppy won't last ...

Re: Switching Foods

We switched our boys to raw in June and have positive results. The Springers ear and skin infections are gone. The boys love it. The teeth and breath are non issue and they have replaced flab and fat with muscle. It is also a huge money saver and time saver for me. I just pick up what I need from th...

Re: Ruptured anal glands....ick

Our Springer Riley needs his anal glands expressed at least twice a month. The vet showed me how to do it myself. He will start licking and scooting when I know it needs to be done.

Re: All In Arizona: Good News and Bad News

Glad you made it here. Hope you can adjust although where you are is not near as hot as here in the valley. We have never adjusted and will be leaving Arizona asap! Possibly headed north to Idaho.
Hope things are positive for Rosie. Keeping good thoughts for her.

Re: Bad Shedding

We are having issues with out springer. After several tests we were told Yeast was an issue. The only dog food that we found that did not have some form of fermentation product (yeast) is wellness simple duck and potatoe. It did make an improvement. However I am switching all my dogs to a raw natura...

Re: Food suggestions

Keeping my fingers crossed that the switch takes care of the allergy issues for your Springer. It seems to already be helping. His ears are not as smelly and the dark wax gunk is noticably less. One of the best quick rewards husband and I noticed is that do not have gas. They used to be some smelly...

Fosters in Arizona Need food?

I recently just switched my boys to a raw diet. I have most of a 30 bag of Pinnacle duck and potatoe and most of a 35 bag of chicken soup for the dog lovers soul. Dry foods. I don't want to waste it but I could not wait to change the boys to the raw. They love it so much I don't have the heart to gi...

Re: Food suggestions

I started the boys on raw foods over the weekend. I read two books poured over internet info and then went shopping. Each book says different things so its somewhat confusing. I just took what I thought was the best of all information and choose to feed, muscle meat, organ meat, meaty bones, shredde...

Re: National Brittany Rescue (NBR)

Our little Phinny was adopted from NBRAN last August. We also adopted our first Britt Jake from them several years ago while we were still in St Louis. I still email his foster with updates as well as helping with a home visit here from a dog being transported here from the midwest. We had a positiv...

Little Phinny turned one year old last month. We celebrated by camping in the high desert of Heber Arizona. He loves to camp and be outdoors. He is a handsome little man wearing his gentle leader!
