Re: Pug puppy
Why would the health department care? As long as you arent involved in preparing food it doesnt really matter.

Re: Thinking of getting a new dog
One of my local shelters had two EP's brought in as "strays". One male and one female. The female was pregnant. I'm on the list to adopt one of the pups when they are ready-in about 3-4 weeks.
I'm quite excited, but trying not to get too hopeful in case something happens.

Re: Missing Link vs Seameal
I give salmon oil, a digestive enzyme, and a joint supplement. All separate supplements.
I think nupro is better then missing link though.

Re: Getting first male Brittany!
I guess it really does depend on the dog. None of our males ever marked indoors any where-vet, pet stores, nothing. They were fixed at 6 months and our adopted Husky at 3 years.

Re: Thinking of getting a new dog
I've trained Goldens, Labradors, and Poodles for Service/Guide Dogs. Poodles would def be my #1 pick. They are so amazingly smart. I think a lot depends on the breeding as well.
As this point, I am def leaning towards a Brittany more then a GSP.

Re: Thinking of getting a new dog
That's what a lot of people say, so hopefully if I find one in a shelter or rescue that won't be an issue. A few months ago, in the pouring rain, I rescued a Husky that was running around in the street. The owners finally came looking for her..said she runs away all the time. Our Husky used to try a...

Re: Getting first male Brittany!
As long as he was neutered at a younger age, he shouldnt want to mark things, especially since you've never had any male dogs he hopefully wont find the need to mark indoors. We dog sat for my bosses dog this past week. He was 2 and (with my nonstop urging), he just got neutered on Sunday. Thank god...
