Re: Cassie's new pic

Barb,

Is this the original photo that you thought you lost forever?

Re: Switched food- suddenly pooing more.

When I switched Bridget Willow from Science Diet to Taste of the Wild two years ago, her poops went from two, very large piles a day to three to four, small piles.

I imagine that better foods produce less waste.

Re: PHEASANT AND RABBITS?

Since most of your questions have already been answered, I'll try to keep my response concise. I am almost certain that their hunting ability is +95% natural and not trained. I rescued my 8-year-old Brittany about 5 years ago when I lived in North Carolina. She had never seen or smelled a pheasant. ...

Re: Crested Butte B&B

I was in Crested Butte back in March and stayed at a wonderful B&B named the Inn at Crested Butte. They welcome dogs with open arms and presented us with a personalized gift basket for Bridget and catered to her every need. She and I had a blast in Crested Butte and even managed to do a little snows...

Re: Beach

Bridget and I lived at the beach in North Carolina for a few years before moving to Colorado. She never ate the sand (that I was aware of), although she did manage always cover herself in sand, deep into her coat. As for the waves, she was always a bit apprehensive, but eventually warmed up to the s...

Re: Just a dog!!

Powerful video -- I've shared it with many.

Sometimes, I'm so happy that they are JUST DOGS, for dogs have proven to be better, more loyal friends than any person I've ever met.

Re: I love my vet, but....

I've received the same services here in Denver from a highly recognized, non-VCA, non-VRCC veterinary office and the total was $98. This is without any flea or heartworm meds, but included the routine, yearly check-up. I would definitely call around and try to find a lower price. After having a few ...

Re: Found Dog -- Need Advice

Not sure if this has been done already, but you can take it to your regular vet and have them scan it just to check for a microchip. I've done this on two occasions (one being successful).

Re: taking a britt camping

As someone who has camped more times than I care to count with my dog (Bridget Willow, she's 7 years old), I'll try to offer you a few things I've picked up on. I moved to CO from NC a couple years ago for law school. Although my dog and I camp, hike, and hunt in cold, rugged, mountainous terrain he...

Re: A Sad Reminder

This is such a heart-wrenching surgery as Bridget Willow is currently recovering from her very extensive dental cleaning and [many] teeth extraction today. The vet is a couple blocks from the house so I visited her for a little while as she was waking up. I still felt nervous all day and had no appe...
