Congrats Cindy.......4 days is a great, now you know you can do it. It looks like Andrea has several more dogs that need foster homes! Hint, Hint! Give the girls a hug and pet from me.

Re: Dog Food question

You should check with your vet because the food might need to be special because of your dog's renal/kidney problems. The vet can probably give you the name of some food that has the right amount of electrolytes and protein for your dog's health issues.

Re: dog shaking

Are you are talking about when a dog shakes when he's cold or maybe not feeling good? IN humans when we shake, like when we are running a temp, it's called rigors. Not sure if that's the term you are looking for............

All our dogs love the winter, especially the snow........They will eat the snow, lie in the snow, and run like wild in the snow. It doesn't get cold enough in VA for the dogs not to want to go outside.

Thanks for good advice, I look forward to hearing anymore as well. A little background on this dog--he was a stray and from his behavior I would guess that he was kept in a run or a kennel without a lot of love or human interaction. I have never worked with the clicker training and need to look into...

neutering and male hormones

I have a foster who was neutered 2 and a half weeks ago. He is very, very interested in one of my spayed females and won't leave her alone--always wants to be near her, sniffing her, cornering her, grooming her, licking her face, and trying to hump her. This doesn't appear to be an alpha thing and I...

Did this behavior start after the e-collar training or after he began using the e-collar? Did your vet think that had anything to do with his behavior changes? I use e-collars on my dogs but I know that it can also have some adverse problems............Kelly
