Re: Leena is lost :(

If you can set a human trap, bait it with boneless Kentucky fried chicken.

Also, grab a BBQ and take it to where she was lost & start grilling up good smells (meat/burgers) ... sometimes hunger will bring them in.

Hang in there - DON"T GIVE UP. Too many people give up too soon!

Re: dog beds

For dog beds, I use old sleeping bags. I turn them inside out & fold them up so they're nice and comfy. Our friends give us their old sleeping bags, and sometimes you can find them at Goodwill, Amvets, etc.
I also have the regular dog beds too (with washable covers).

Re: We are so sad!

Danibier, It's ok. At one time or another, all of us have had our beloved brits get out on us, and we've all chased them or went searching for a lost brit. I've been lucky in that I've come close to seeing my brit get hit by a car, but by divine intervention at the last minute, he didn't get hit. On...

Well, FINALLY someone is a Britt! ]I wish that website allowed you to look up by breed and peek at which answers lead to it. Hmm, there are probably more than one way to get to be a brittany, but this is what I answered: medium height and build academic generous, hardworking, independent, pessimist...

kat, I'm so sorry ... it is hard to know when it's time. My beloved senior crossed the bridge 3 weeks ago... I took him to the vet the week before, and my vet said "He still has a will to live". And he did. And I thought we had weeks or months left. But a week later, while his will was there, his bo...

Actually, the legislation, when first proposed, was so broad that rescue activities would have been subject to intense & broad regulation, to the point that rescue activities would have been regulated out of existance. For example, one small part of the language could have been interpreted that if a...

I especially pray for the tens of thousands of people that refused to leave in Galveston. I hope that the death toll does not approach a fraction of the 8,000 killed in the 1900 hurricane. Ditto. I read "Isaac's Storm" by Eric Larson which is a narrative about the Galveston Hurricane of 1900. It wa...

This particular organization is not in my area, but PetSmart & Petco do offer vaccination clinics in my area. Yes, I've taken a foster in to a Petco vaccination clinic for a second booster DHLPP. These clinics are good if you know your fur-kid is in good health. At the PetSmart stores where there is...

Everyone's detailed advice is most appreciated and welcomed. Just a quick update ... ...it turns out that the aggression comes out any time the foster feels that some one (me, or my dogs) is challenging him for something that he covets. Today the foster was ripping up a stuffed toy and I decided he ...

Bill & Star - hope you get a good chuckle - my 8 & 10 yo niece & nephew who love cats were very upset this past week because they were going camping and would miss Wed's show. They put up such a fuss that my brother in law figured out a way to get tv reception where they were camping. In the meantim...
