Re: Denamarin

Cindy - yes, much better news than finding it cheaper. We still may have to go back to it if her numbers go up, but for now, we are happy. Sue - Ginger got a hug and a kiss from the you and the boys. Frisco - thanks for the info on Costco. I just checked what they carry, not whether or not th...

Re: denamarin question from Bama Britt

Thanks gagesbarb. I actually got good news from the vet and we are stopping the Denamarin for 3 months then rechecking bloodwork. Gives me 3 months to try and find a cheaper source should we have to go back to the meds.

Re: Denamarin

Cindy - thanks for your info. I will check those avenues out. I had already looked into Costco and they don't carry it. I did not check to see if they could get it though. I actually got great news from the vet. Ginger's ALT number dropped way back down into the normal range so the vet recommended s...

Denamarin

Miss Ginger, 13. 5 yrs young, just got put on Denamarin for bad liver numbers...we presume it's from long term Tramadol and Carprofen use. At my vet, it is costing me around $80 for a 30 day supply. I'm just reaching out to see if anyone has sourced this medicine from a reputable source that is a li...

Re: Dog chews

Cindy - I've had luck with bully sticks and cow bones stuffed and frozen with various things. I wasted money on the deer antlers because my Ginger isn't much of a chewer and didn't take to them, but yours may love them and they are good for them. I unfortunately can't help you on where to buy becaus...

Re: Time change

Same issue here with Miss Ginger. For a few nights, she was trying to go to bed at 8 pm. We've moved past that, but she is still routinely waking up an hour early, at 4 to 4:15 am begging for breakfast. Now she has me trained and if she isn't waking up then, it's me!

Re: Recall...Nature's Variety Instinct Dog Food

Goodness, you do what you believe is right for your pups and big business and money almost ruin it. Well, Ginger is still doing good on the NV raw...we're just staying away from chicken sourced for awhile. Thanks for all your input Barb!

Re: Recall...Nature's Variety Instinct Dog Food

Sorry to post a question and then disappear, but as always thanks for your insight Barb. I really consider myself very careful when handling as I think raw is gross, but know it's good for my Ginger. I even use gloves when handling raw meat for my own meals. Do you think the FDA is targeting the raw...

Barb - what are your thoughts on the large number of recalls lately, particularly the raw industry?

Diane - maybe we should plan one? I know a few Brittany owners in the Atlanta metro area.

Re: my litle problem child

I know I am late to the party, but wanted to chime in on Cindy's informal survey. My Orange Roan girl loves to swim in rivers and lakes, not so much the ocean. Another Brittany that breaks the mold.

Re: need help understanding vaccines

So, maggierocks...how did it go at the vet? Did the vet agree to forego all vaccines on Sammy except rabies? Just curious, my Ginger is 11 and due for her annual and I am thinking of doing the same thing.
