vets in Port St. Lucie, FL area

Howdy folks, it's been a long time but I still lurk and look at dogs from time to time. ABR is still one of the tabs that loads every time I open my browser! I don't know if this can be addressed publicly or not but....I'm being located to the Port St. Lucie, FL area in about 5-6 weeks and was wonde...

Re: Moving from MN to Tampa, FL

I live just a few miles east of Tampa in a rural area, backyard hunting has already been described for this area and I really don't have anything to add to it. I did want to caution you about snakes as well as gators. The poisonous snakes we have are coral, rattle and water moccasins. I have seen al...

E collar question

I have a friend that wants to buy an Ecollar for their dog, recall is not one of it's best attributes. The dog likes to swim and we have alligators, so my friend was asking about a waterproof collar. I was just checking to see if any one has any personal experience with such a collar or might be abl...

You are looking at the camera, the Brits must have seen a squirrel off to your left?

About half the trials here are outside - the other half are inside in horse barns/arenas. Buster and I train at one facility that is outside and at another that has both an outdoor field and a horse barn. He actually does really well, as long as he knows that he's supposed to focus on me and pay at...

Dog Agility Competition of Florida

It was last weekend, 36 teams from all over the state. Only two Brits out of all those dogs. Lucy is still a Novice dog because we just don't do much in the way of trials. My wife (and me to) is kind of afraid of my taking her collar off of her anywhere outside without a real fence! But since this c...

seizure

Well, Lucy had her first seizure yesterday (Friday), at least the first that I know of. And to top it off she was at the groomers for her first summer cut (left enough to protect her from sunburn). They called and of course I had gone to the store and left my cell in the truck, when I got back in I ...

It kind of seems the best we could for our own "chosen ones" is to keep the breed under the radar, but then if their "true personalities" were to become widely known there probably aren't many that would want one anyway.

I just got done watching the video, typical Brittanys that's for sure! I'm not at all familiar with conformation but it seems like it would be nearly be impossible to pick out one of those dogs as being the closest to the breed standard.
