Re: Good-bye Maggie

Thanks everyone, When I was in Wal mart earlier I teared up walking past the pet section.....then I came home and started the process of gathering her things. I totally lost it. I sobbed through everything. Emptying her water dish, gathering her leashes and toys and deciding what to throw away and w...

Good-bye Maggie

We had to let her go yesterday.  My 16 year old and I drove her to the vet and my Xh drove 2 hours and met us there. We all stayed with her until she was gone. Then Xh took her little body...wrapped in all her favorite blankets back to his house to bury. It was a very sad day. She had a g...

Re: Back for a visit and update

Thanks guys. I always come back to this board when I have something to tell or ask about Maggie. She got a steroid shot a week ago and it made her soooo thirsty. She would wake us up at 3 or 5 a.m. crying to get out of her crate and she would go straight to her water bowl. But we can't leave her out...

Re: Back for a visit and update

Her feet are inflamed and infected. He isn't sure what is causing it. She will finish her current round of meds on Thursday. I am taking her back Thursday or Friday because I don't think they are better.

Re: Back for a visit and update

How do I decide when it is time to put her down?

She still enjoys her food....but she can barely walk....I took her out to potty and she is limping like crazy.

Back for a visit and update

She has been such a good dog.....calming down after a few years and especially after we took the advice of this board and made her an inside dog. She is really getting old :(. She currently has inflammation in her feet that j...

Dog food

I posted in another thread about Maggie (8 years old) recent vomiting. I felt sure most of the time it was related to anxiety. However, yesterday evening she vomited. It was just ds11 here with me and her. She had been fed early morning. No table scraps. Nothing going on. It appeared to be partially...

Re: My Out of Control Brittany

Thank you! I told my ds11 this tonight. He feels better.

She really shows no sign of slowing down. Still plays like a pup.
