Re: Rosie in a Winter Wonderland!

LOL at the sled rnning out of control - Rosie would definitely have me in a ditch or a tree. Wilderness trek story or emergency room story... :D Funny as there were deer tracks around and she undoubtedly had that scent getting her going. As far as Haley - she is an unbelievable sis at 7 yrs old. she...

Re: Rosie in a Winter Wonderland!

Yep we had a real blast and are going back tomorrow - not sure if we'll take Rosie this time.

Rosie would make a good sled dog also because she was on her flex lead and as I reached some ice spots id stop and shed pull me... LOL.

Rosie in a Winter Wonderland!

We went up on Mt. Graham this afternoon to play in the snow (9000 ft) with Rosie and she had a blast. She was all over the place and needless to say she is out cold as we speak. She loved it! http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/235/christmasday2010009.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us http://img15.imag...

Rosie's back..

Rosie has definitely benefited from either the 20-30 degree weather or the salmon oil - or both. She is "zooming" around the backyard and digging up rose bushes and digging other rather large holes around the backyard. I never thought i'd be so happy to report her causing havoc...LOL Happy Thanksgiv...

Rosie Goes to 1st Grade!

Josh requested that Rosie be his show and tell today at school. Patti took Rosie and she got some friendly kiddie hugs from the kids. She gave Josh her patented High 5 and also shook with him. Overall Rosie is doing pretty well. She is sleeping alot but I cannot say that I blame her. Its 105 here to...

Re: Rosie is about 1 year cancer free.

No - there was no steroid treatment. The vet who did the surgery was pretty confident that he removed all of the cancer from the thyroid and no steroids were needed. Her thyroid function was a bit low (most recent blood work) and I think we incresed her food (inadvertantly). Between those two and th...

Rosie is about 1 year cancer free.

Rosie had another clear x-ray today and the cancer does not show any signs of returning (blood work pending). Lets keep it that way. This heat has really gotten to her and shes a bit more lazy and sleeps a bit more. I'd guess we also have to realize that she is almost 8 years old. WOW! She also gain...

Rosie's check up went well again today. Lungs clear, etc. Weight is steady and is fiesty (sometime ornary) as ever.

Check your dogs periodically. This was a fluke that my nepew found this lump in Rosie's throat.
