I was the original poster in the discussion that Barb referred to... And I am happy to report that Miss Dew is 99% cured of her SU. It really came down to us changing our behavior. We completely changed how we great the dogs when we come home for the day, and our basic posture with them in general. ...

Welcome Welcome!!!!! I love watching the show!!! You both are definitely the reason, just a good ol' boy and his good ol' dawg!!!!!!! What could be better!! What I want to know is how you managed to keep the 'zoomies' at bay during the show.... even the best trained Brits get the zoomies. We saw a s...

Dave, I think I have posted this once before... but will again. We had our first britts before we had kids, Max and Sadie. Max was about 4 and Sadie 3 when we had my oldest. I was worried how dogs that had never been around children would react. And to top it off, my oldest was born 3 months early w...

Dave, We share the same birthday! I am spending mine listening to the endless "quack, quack, quack" from Miss Dew and her stuffie duckie she got for Christmas. Dew claimed the duckie, Tessa is fiercely protecting the hedgehog, and Lacey is trying to tempt anyone to play tug-o-war with skunk. ...

all three of mine are head resters. None of them liked doggie beds until we got the kind that looks like a little chair with armrests. I always joke that the dogs only love me cause I am a soft and squishy pillow.

ours are successfully gated from our room during the day and the boys rooms and playroom all the time. what's interesting is that Dew could clear the the gates without touching it if she wanted to. She constantly jumps over the couch from behind it (fun times to have a dog just appear in your lap fr...

You and your wife are doing a wonderful job!!!!!! You could absolutely be right about the prancing! Once Sadie, my girl that was blind, would become comfortable and confident in an area, she would walk with a sort of prance... She would stretch her front paws way out in front of her as she walked. I...

I forgot to mention that we ALWAYS spoke to her as we approached her, or reached to pet her. That way she was never startled. She never had a problem with Max, our other Britt, but I am sure it is because she knew his scent, and sounds, very well. It might be a good idea to put bells or some sort of...

Sadie, one of our first britts, was blind, didn't slow her down at all. In fact, we didn't even know she was blind until we moved, and she was bumping into the furniture in the new place. She even manuvered going up and down stairs without any issue. We just started doing a lot of direction ...

15: A Brittany shall have the prowess of mind to in an instant decide that it MUST have cuddles, and further to have the trasportation ability to "appear" on the human's lap seemingly from out of no-where. Extra points given if this occurs from behind the couch. Bonus points if the human is holding ...

this sounds gross, but worked for squirrels living in our attic. Go to a hunting store and buy fox urine. spread it however you feel would work, we soaked cotton balls and spred them around (then gathered them up later). Worked great, the squirrels were gone in just a few days. (then we plugged the ...

How about, how long and wide they can stretch out on the bed. Winners take up the most real estate.

My trio would take the gold in most lizards/frogs (or other small critters) pointed, stalked and maybe even consumed.

what annoying thing

1. Hog the bed, I can't begin to count the number of nights I have woken up pushed to the edge of the bed with a sliver of covers. Of course all three dogs are stetched out all snug in the middle. One night I woke up as Tessa was nosing me under my back trying to roll me over. We tease that we need ...

was snyder concerned

I have to share one of my favorite memories of Max our first brit who passed a couple of years ago. My oldest son was born 12 weeks early. Max was around 4 years old and had never been around children before. I was a little nervous of how he and Sadie (our second brit) would react to the newcomer......
