Re: 2015 American Brittany Rescue Picnic California

The picnic was great as usual. The rain didn't damper any spirits. This is the first year Dazy Dew didn't do any thing wrong. I guess turning 10 has slowed her down.

Re: Naughty Dogs!!!

Luckily Daze Dew is to short to counter surf. She tries but just can't reach anything. CJ tries but she is to short too. My sweet Doc who is a very tall Britt has never tried. Nancy you can't leave the kitchen unless Harlan is in there to protect the food.

Re: Fireworks Panic and Crate Phobia

I agree with Lisa about the Thundershirt. It sure helped my Doc with the over 200 aftershocks from the earthquake.

Re: Photos From CA ABR Picnic

We had a great time. Everyone is always invited to come. I think we had 150 humans and 110 fur babes.

Re: CA earthquakes

We had an aftershock at 4 am this morning and he looked up and then back to sleep. I looked on the web for a Thundershirt for me. They don't make one big enough to fit me. I have been up since so today should be wonderful.

Re: Suddenly pooping indoors

Dr. Dodds told me to use Lavender when Dazy Dew was acting strange. I bought the oil and spray at WalMart. I put drops of oil on her collar and sprayed her beding. It worked great on her.
PS stupid me I should have tried it on Doc with the earthquakes. I forgot all about it.

Re: CA earthquakes

Doc is doing ok for the moment. We just went 24 hours with no shaking but they arre saying to expect thunder tonight. He now has a Thundershirt on. The lady at Petco said she has sold quite a few since last Friday night. Hopeefully this will work.

Re: CA earthquakes

I don't have one because we never have thunderstorms. Doc has never acted like this before. He usually acts like a 2 y/o dog still bouncing off the walls at times.

CA earthquakes

Most of you don't know but I live in La Habra, CA where we are being hit with a big earthquake and way too many aftershocks. We were lucky to only have 2 broken items, My male dog (about 11 y/o) seems to be having a hard time with all this commotion going on. I went to the vet this AM and got a mild...

Re: Hello. :)

This brings back memories of a puppy I fostered when I was a new volunteer. My perfume of choice became Bitter Apple. I had to wear long sleeves (thankfully it was winter) because my arms looked like I had been in battle and lost.

Re: Peeing in the house

Dr. Dodds gave me the suggestion of using lavendar. My Dazy Dew stresses when everyone is gone. I purchased lavendar oil and spray at Wal-mart and it has worked wonders for her. I put a couple of drops of oil on her collar and her bedding gets sprayed. Maybe it's worth a try.
