Re: Acid Reflux
Zak doesn't "Hoover" his food like our other Brittany, Jake. I do give him a biscuit before we go to bed. Our older dog loves crushed ice and usually give him some in his bowl after he eats. Zak did eat some ice yesterday morning, so maybe his tummy didn't like that. Thinking back, this seems to hap...

Acid Reflux
Does anyone have experience with acid reflux in their Brits? Had a dog several years ago with this and would give him half a Pepcid before meals. I now have a 2yr old Brittany who occasionally vomits almost immediately after eating, usually in the morning. It happened this morning. I just gave him h...

Re: Back for a visit and update
If you live in Colorado, I have a great Vet who has gotten us through some difficult situations over the years. He is the most compassionate Vet I have ever known. Two years ago we had to let one of our Brittanies go and he sat on the floor with me as I held Dillon in my lap and he passed. Hopefully...

Re: Tartar build up

We give him Greenies but he eats them so fast that I don't think they do any good. We are using Fresh De...

Re: Grooming Problem
Thanks for the tips. We will try treats. We use treats when we go on walks as he gets so excited when he sees other dogs. We make him sit and give him a treat .

Grooming Problem
My almost 2 year old Brittany is the most loving obedient dog we have had. However, trying to brush him or cut his nails is like roping a wild coyote and trying to groom it! He doesn't try to bite as much as he thrashes. Does anyone else have this problem?

Re: Older Dog Behavior/Feeding Questions
My older dog also had liver problems for the last three years of his life along with Laryngeal Paralysis. To keep the weight on him I gave him egg noodles with his dry food. He loved it. He was also on Denamarin. I considered it a miracle drug as it brought him back after liver failure at age 11. He...
