Re: Diamond - Owie

Ouch! That looks like it hurts or at least is extremely uncomfy, poor girlie. :( The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is a fungus infection, like blastomyces, histo or the like, but if I remember right those are usually in the midwest. Leishmania causes skin ulcerations and is known ...

Re: Thank you

Thank you so much for the condolences for our Brittany Sue girlie. She truly was a special girl and will always be in our hearts/memories! :) I'll try to post some pics this weekend of her and our Trigger boyo! I'm trying to find a dang apt/house that will let me have a dog now. I always said I woul...

Thank you

I just wanted to tell all of you thank you. I used to read the forums every day for the last 7-8 years or so then about 12 months ago life got hectic with Pfizer taking over and I just got busy with life and drifted away. I lost my 15 year old girlie yesterday, the vet was nice enough to come to the...

Re: Ya know how we wonder....

Back in school we had a 'class' hamster. On the weekends/holidays it would be rotated who brought it home and took care of it as well as who took care of it and let it play in the ball at school. We enjoyed it so much we ended up with one of our own. :) Definitely teaches one how to take care of our...

Re: Limping from vaccines

Limping and tenderness and lethargy is rather common after some vaccinations, especially if the vaccine is given intramuscularly, similar to a flu/tetanus shot in humans. Most vets will tell you to keep an eye on it, go the baby aspirin route and usually in 24-48 hours all symptoms will disappear. M...

I just got off the phone with my mom. They went ice fishing with the elk tent to Fort Peck. Brittany girl had a blast and Trigger boy and dad put over 100 miles on the 4-wheeler fishing. :)

I told mom what the bro said and she's going to beat him up for me.

Hmmm...has the dog had a subcutaneous shot near his neck lately? Could be an injection site reaction. If they are giving antibiotics in shots in that area it could be an injection site reaciton to that shot as well. If it is, most tend to resolve in 5-20 days depending on the type of shot/drug given...

Like the others said, fur types very. I've had a very sleek looking brit with just a bit of feathering, and I've had a shaggy brit with lots, etc, etc. The shaggy ones do better in the cold!
