Victor is: Rockstar [at agility], Little Man [whenever], Punkinhead [when he's sweet], Cinnamonster [when he's stealing laundry], MonkeyDog [when he's jumping and nipping and sort of barking], and VICTOR_GENTRY!!!! [when he's in trouble], and occasionally his name is: 'YouAreInSuchTroubleYouAreInTim...

Sounds alot like Victor. We can feed him with other dogs and no problems. He is a jealous bugger about food and toys though. If our Lab gets a treat - he wants one. So we treat the Lab first so that Victor can have the last bite. Bones and toys are the same. He wants whatever the Lab has and will la...

Victor will do the 'face' thing too. He's not a licker and the elderly patients just love it when he gets that Brittany face right up to theirs to say hello.

Of course, in the nursing home he'll also do the 'lap' thing, which isn't quite so charming.

and there's my dream... running outside agility with my dog in such a beautiful setting. Thanks for sharing.

BTW, does Victor growling at himself in the mirror make him an 'aggressive' dog? Something new he just started this morning.

I love this trick and have seen it done many ways. Gus' is the best - especially the bark!

How did you train that?

I think Britts are naturally talented for agility. Shiloh will be great and bonding that comes from training is the best part! The only downside I've found in agility is that I love to watch Victor run the course with that happy 'I'm flying' :D look on this face, sometimes to the point that I get di...

Beautifuly baby and pictures! It's great that your family includes dogs. We have two grandchildren that are being raised without dogs - just a cat. The grandson doesn't care for dogs and is jumpy around them. The granddaughter 'walks' Victor by holding onto his tail. Victor doesn't mind a bit. Best ...

Thanks from Victor!

We have the luxury of an indoor facility. I doubt if Victor would have stayed with me long enough to learn anything if we had to train outdoors.

Hope you get back to training soon. It is a lot of fun! :D

Thanks! From a stray to a star... Don't know who gave up on this little guy but they missed out on a fabulous dog. He's only been in agility training for 5 months, but if I could get my act together, I'm sure he could run successfully in a Jumps with Weaves trial. In the mean time, Victor is still b...

Victor graduated!

Thanks to all for your suggestions and support. Last night Victor 'graduated' from beginner agility status. He ran a clean 13-obstacle course twice without any mistakes on his part. He ran exactly where and when I told him to go. Now, I still need to work on front crosses and encouraging him through...

Congratulations on the great weekend! I spent most of the weekend watching at a local agility trial and am anxious to get out there and try it with Victor. I saw lots of teams doing exactly what you describe - some handler mistakes and some dogs compensating. But almost every team looked like they w...

I'm not sure I could stand to hear what some of these dogs have endured or are hoping for - it could be heartbreaking. Even after a year with us there are days when Victor seems to still be looking for his former owner - I'm guessing a man in a pickup truck since that what he always perks up for. On...

Angel on a Leash - The Today Show

Did anyone catch the Today Show segment - Angel on a Leash? It featured Brittanys in two different shots showing them in therapy visits. I believe in one shot they mentioned the handler was the chaplain at Ronald McDonald House with two Brittanys. In the interview David Frie from the Westminster Dog...
