Re: The most pig-headed dog!
If Victor's leash gets tight under his tail, he just sits down.
It took me a few times before I understood what was happening. I thought he was going to 'defile' the leash until I realized he was just sitting on it.

One QQ closer!
Our trial season is coming to a close with just 3 more weekends in the season. We trialed 3 days this weekend and got one more double Q! :D Just 6 more to go. Some of our runs were a real struggle and Victor was just so confused by my handling and I HATE to see that look on his face. But, I pulled i...

Re: Fun agility day
Great job!!! Running contacts?? :P you go, girl!!!! Nice videos. I'm especially impressed that Buster runs in the dirt without his nose on the ground. HOW DO YOU HEAR ANYTHING IN THAT VENUE?? It is so loud. It obviously doesn't bother Buster - so good job training that. Congratulations on yo...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6zVNMNO9W4&feature=related Here's a video done by a friend's son. My friend runs a Min Pin [in case you have trouble seeing her on the course]. This is my instructor and the person I'm currently working for as trial secretary: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXtu30NKZN...

Re: WOO HOO!!!! QQQ
I'm sure you are correct in that Victor is sore, tired, a bit stressed. Being this time of winter has not helped his conditioning. It is odd, however, that on the 3rd day, he's more focused and runs faster than the 2nd day - not as 'yee haw' as day 1, but better than day 2. I really need to get seri...

Re: WOO HOO!!!! QQQ
Well, not a perfect Q day, but we had one qualifying run and one very good one. The second day is always tougher for Team Victor - never sure why. But the weave poles were an issue on the first run.
Still glad to be running with my best buddy!

WOO HOO!!!! QQQ
Victor and I were a perfect team today!!!! :D We ran Standards, Jumpers, and FAST mostly as planned and had 3 perfect runs. Oh, what a feeling! We have 6 of 10 qualifying runs needed for our Master FAST title; and 13 of 20 double Q's with 723 points toward our Master Agility Champion title! Hoping i...

Re: Teetering on Success!
Victor will tug at home; in the hallway outside the agility ring; virtually anywhere BUT the agility ring. We've come to an understanding - I am the pez dispenser of treats and Victor gives me his undivided attention on the course. It works for us. Now if I could just convince others that it is unne...

Re: Teetering on Success!
Good luck with the 'sniffing'! We use food on the floor every now and then which results in another training session of 'the food is gone now let's work'.
Daisy is doing well with the teeter. Keep up the good work.

Re: Agility 2x2 question
String cheese is the most popular treat in our area. Of course, Victor can't have cheese and throwing food on the floor just makes him sniff like crazy.
