Canine Review Magazine - June Issue
I haven't seen the June issue yet (not on my bookstore shelves yet), but there is a feature article on brittany spaniels http://caninereview.ca/contents09.html My bookstore is supposed to put an issue on hold for me when it gets in. The lady that wrote the article asked for input from some local bri...

Canadian National Specialty Show for Brittany Spaniels
Hi This year the Canadian National Specialty show is going to be held August 2 in Calgary, Alberta if anyone would like to come and participate or just enjoy all the brits. We have never been before, but hope to go this year, as it is probably the closest the show will likely be to us. I am not sure...

Would a change in food help maybe? i don't have any experience with this. But I know when we changed Jack's food, his breath changed for the better.

Re: Won't Walk
Jack didn't like to walk too much at first - or rather he didn't get the concept. He like to sit down whenever he saw something new and observe it, which meant about every 20 feet. My mom figured out that if he had a stick in his mouth, he forgot to sit down and kept going. Maybe you could try that?...

Re: New Food
Actually I do use the Hills T/d for my older dog. When we got her, her teeth were pretty bad and needed a dental cleaning and having 10 teeth pulled. And 3 month after the cleaning she was getting black lines of build up along her gums even with feeding her Orijen. The Hills TD does slow down the ta...

Re: Its summertime. Lets get in shape!
Too hot? I wish you could share some of that heat :) Sunday we spent 2 hours in the yard with the dogs a nice 19 C. Yesterday and it was near freezing again and I wore my parka to work both days  It's usually around 19C consistently by now. I can't recall having to wear such a warm coat in May....

Re: Wesley Snapped !!!!
Hmm I can't really say. It sounds like a case of the Zoomies for sure. Jack's three now but still occasionally goes back into the past to pull up some of his past tricks. Since the weather has warmed up he is full of beans and so far has chewed three holes in my fleecies (they were completely clean ...

Re: He is Huge...
What size blade did you sue to get this effect? We are keeping our kids coats a bit longer for show this year. But I definitely want to shave Ruby down at some point (spay coat)

Re: No Peace in the Shower
When our guy was about 6 months he would come in and lick the curtain... which escalated into nosing the curtain open so he could try and drink from the shower. While I thought it was hilarious, if I was washing my hair and didn't notice him, there would be a huge water puddle on the bathroom floor....

Re: Is my dog STUPID?
Jack just went through a rough week - he had the humpies all week. We were getting frustrated so to discourage him from humping Ruby we filled up the squirt bottle with water and tried to squirt him whenever he assumed the position. We tried to do it in such a way that he couldn't see that the sourc...

Re: he's been digging! get ready to laugh!
LOVE IT!
I always wondered how big a hole Jack would dig if left more than 16 minutes.
The pictures were SO good I passed on the link to several others.
I love the ones with just the bum showing!

What a cutie!
I wish we had room and time for more than just our two, but eventually we'll be able to foster! (2 dogs + Ft job + school = not enough time in the day)

Re: Need New Clippers
We purchased the Oster A5 Golden 1 speed with a #10 blade last year and have been really happy with it. We wondered why we hadn't bought one before actually. We had been making do with a human clipper from Zellers with Jack. When we got Ruby she was spayed and our little human blade couldn't handle ...
