It's actually a cinch right now since everything freezes fast and easy to spot with the snow! Since it's cold they dont usually stick outside for any longer than they need (i...

Welcome! I like having two dogs. That being said, our first was pretty well trained 20ish month old before we brought the second older dog in. We found it much easier to have 1 of the dogs already trained so we could train the other dog when we got her. Warning- not all dogs will play together so if...

Although my young dog does eat poo, my senior dog that joined us has taught him that is fun to root around in the snow drifts to look for frozen poo and eat that. As if we didn't have enough issues! They are pretty smart to find their own amusement, since they aren't getting out for enough walks wit...

Jack was almost two when we got our senior Brit. I liked that we waited until then, because Jack did get a lot of individual training time while he was the only dog. He knew a lot of his manners. This was good because Ruby needed to be taught her manners. Been about 9 months that we had the two. The...

That Chilly Dogs site look excellent - my friend has been looking for a neckwarmer for her dogs for a while. You can check to see if a store nearby has them there is one listed in PA, or with the Canadian $$ lower in comparison to the US $$ right now knocks 20-30% off? I probably wouldn't pay the $$...

What a small world! Glad you had a chance to meet Carol - she and her brittanies sold us on getting a brittany when we were trying to choose what breed would match our family. She lives about 8 hours further North than us (a long drive to AR) As soon as I am not working full time as well as going to...

No problem - I was waiting to see the results :)

I looked at the rest of the awards and discovered that our Senior Girl that joined us this year (retired from breeder) is the Great Grandma of the Best of Winners Dog :)

Brittanies are just the cutest!

Are you buying your dog a Christmas present?

We usually buy them something small - last year we made Jack mittens Jack has been SUPER attached to a sqeaky duck since early September. So much so that we have a new song around the house " If you're happy and you know it squeak your duck - squeak squeak" Amazingly has lasted this long but is show...
