Dealing with clown hats and boneheads

(Barb, Lisa, Mark, if you need to move this, I understand.) I went to a farmer's market this morning and started to chat with one of the merchants. Gardens, dogs, etc. Ont thing lead to another, and I shared with her about Orion. She then took it upon herself to tell me that, "oh, it wasn't lymphoma...

Re: Chewing Elect. Cords!!!!

I dog sat for a neighbor. Their dog had a history of chewing cords. She was confined to a rather cool part of the house and had a space heater to compensate. I coated the cord with plain ol' yellow mustard to be safe--I think the scent drover her off. A bit messy, but worth it.

Re: Dasuquin with MSM

I gave Orion plain glusosamine/chondroiten and MSM, along with fish oil. Seemed to work pretty well. 8)

Re: Orange peels

Barb, have you ever seen a British comedy show called "Last of the Summer Wine?" It's about three elderly men in a small Yorkshire village going through their second childhood. Cassie's exploits of late have made me think of the show. It pops up on PBS and is on DVD, but I don't think I'd want Cassi...

Re: The Breakfast of Champions

Actually, Canned Ice, that's not too bad at all. The pizza is an excellent source of calcium, veggies, and protein. People drank beer and ale for breakfast until coffee's spread through Europe woke everyone up and started the French Revolution. Honest.

Re: Grooming

Well, shedding season for Brits starts in February and ends in January.  I brushed Orion almost daily--he loved getting brushed. In August-Sept. I upped it to twice a day. I also gave him fish oil. Bathing, however, was done only every 6-8 weeks or if a roll in something unspeakable mad...

((Lisa)), my thoughts are with you. I'm sure that she and Orion and Heidie have caught up with each other, and getting Dave to throw the ball for them. Peace be with ((you)) at this time.

The Breakfast of Champions

Family Fresh Cooking inspired me to do this. ( http://familyfreshcooking.com ) To zip up your oatmeal, mix in an egg (pop in microwave for a minute to make sure it's cooked--the oatmeal on its own may not be hot enough to cook it), a spoonful of nut butter, and the sweetener of your choice. Add milk...

Orion had a bunch of lipomas and cysts. They felt squishy and not that well defined. I'm sure your guy is fine--and I send pats and hugs to you both.

Re: Perfect dog trained !

Poor pooch.
Back when Johnny Carson was still live (the show  ), they did an ad for Alpo. The dog came out on stage, sniffed the food, and shall we say, gave a scathing critique.
