Re: Images, hosts, and #$^@& FRUSTRATION (be gone!) [A how-t

[ quote="Barb" ]I used spaces in the "quote" instructions so that the example would not come up as an actual quote, but you must be sure there are no spaces within the quote brackets....
Okay, let see if this works......and it didn't :(

Re: Images, hosts, and #$^@& FRUSTRATION (be gone!) [A how-t

I just click "quote" and then highlight and erase whatever part I don't want to show up in the quote.
Okay, so I clicked quote and got my entry and yours. I deleted everything but a section of yours and this is how it came up. I'm definitely doing something wrong.......ugh !

Re: Images, hosts, and #$^@& FRUSTRATION (be gone!) [A how-t

Okay, I don't know if this is where to post this but.....how do you guys do the quotes??? No matter what I try, the quote ends up being the entire message even if I've only highlighted a sentence or two. Any suggestions??? I can't find anything reference in the FAQ section either.

Re: E collar question

One collar that you or your friend might google and read about is the DT Systems H2O 1800 Series. You can get them with one to three collars depending on how many dogs you might have in the field at the same time. It has digital technology, a 1 mile range, 16 adjustable levels of continuous or momen...

I'm definitely coming with my new ABR rescue, Wesley from Nebraska. I'm going to bring Moby too even though he might be glued to me and not wanting to play.....we'll see. Janet

Re: Forget impossible to walk....

That's what we do. The dogs see the leash and go nuts so we stand there until they calmly sit down. Just be prepared for the first few times that this could take awhile. You absolutely can't be in a hurry....it might take a good 15 minutes for them to "settle". Just stand there with the leash and mi...

Re: Hello to all

Whow, he looks like a sweetie and I love the picture of his spotted paws on the spotted blanket. I'm glad that you're so happy with your new ABR dog. We adopted our first ABR dog 6 weeks ago and boy, our life has changed.....all for the better. He's filled with love that he's just been bursting to s...

Re: Diet and Training

Hmmmmmmmmmm.....all good thoughts to ponder. Yes, I guess I was thinking more about the yummy taste vs. nutrients and where I live, liver costs next to nothing. I guess I only mentioned thoroughly cooking it because my vet told me so. I think I'll start serving it pink in the middle for starters as ...

Re: Diet and Training

After my older brittany had a terrible bout with Giardia, I started giving brown rice and ground turkey with every meal mixed in with his chow. I just make large batches of it and freeze it. The dogs love it. I boil the turkey instead of browning it to decrease the grease content. It seems so much h...

Re: Nipping and Insecurity

I have 3 dogs and there is only one of the three that I take to the dog park. He's 1 1/2 years old and loves all other dogs. My older Brittany who's going on 8 and my 13 year old blue healer want nothing to do with strange dogs sniffing at them. Their stress levels go through the roof!!!!! My other ...

Re: Holly settled in and acting like a pup

I was probably the most hesitant person in the world to put an ecollar on a dog (especially a sensative Brittany) but, yes, some dogs only listen this way. For us, wanting to run with the dogs off leash, it's the only way to ensure that they won't follow their noses into the next state. I am ecollar...

Howling !!!

I'm just curious about anyone's thoughts on this. I have a 8 1/2 year old Brittany who has grown up hearing coyotes all his life. We live on the river bank of the Colorado River and at night, it's a major passage for wild life hunts and movement. He's never been phased by the pack howling / barking ...
