Re: My Out of Control Brittany
Welcome back Scarlett, SO glad to hear everyone's lives are happier now! We had a foster a little over a year ago who came in with a small melanoma on his lip, the vet took it off, the dog is still happily living with his new family with no complications. I think the key is just getting Maggie in a...

Very true! She is still very active!.Cindy wrote: Afterall, this "diagnosis" came from someone who thinks Britts only live to be 10. Heck, at 10 you're lucky if they are just starting to slow down a little!!

Re: My Out of Control Brittany
Thank you! I had not had time to research that 'ten year ' comment--15 years sounds MUCH better. I didn't even tell my ds11 what the vet said about that. He is already so worried that she will die-- She does have one of those 'lumps' and he did aspirate i--said it was nothing to worry about and just...

Re:
Scarlett, I'm going to say the first thing that came to mind reading your post: Make your girl a house dog so she gets to spend more time with her people, teach her to play fetch so you have a fun way to burn off her energy, crate her when you can't watch her and get her to a really good obedience ...

Re: Water intake
She is 7. Don't know if I've mentioned it but she has turned into a total house dog. She is just spoiled rotten, but we love her. I didn't know older dogs drink more. She is on no meds. Also, it is winter here in AR so the heat isn't a factor. She isn't very active at all---we aren't getting her the...

Water intake
How much water should my 50 lb Maggie be drinking per day?
Seems like she is drinking a lot lately....but maybe I've never paid attention.

Re: What is wrong with my dog?
I post on a homeschool board too....and I went and found my post on there about Maggie's last episode...seizure? Anyway, I thought it was a month or two ago, when actually it was last November! Wow time flies. The changes in our life have been overwhelming this past year. XH was kicked out mid June ...

Re: What is wrong with my dog?
If it were my dog, I'd call the vet or go to an emergency clinic immediately. It seems like a long time to have a reaction to the vax, but I wouldn't take any chances because there is some reason she is shaking or having seizures = could be a lot of things. Rose Like what? What are some possibilties?

Sorry I can't help with what to buy because we had ours installed by DogWatch. We just helped my brother put down IF and I do think there's was Petsafe but I'm not positive. The one piece of advice I do have is to make sure you read the training manual CAREFULLY and follow the directions. Don't try...

Ok, I called Lowes and they have one for $129. Now I see on spoiled-pups.com the one I am looking at for $209 is the deluxe. They have another one on spoiled-pups for $142 that I imagine is the same one at Lowes. So now I need to know what the difference is between the In ground radio fence and the ...

Ok, I just called Lowes and they have a Petsafe Kit with 500 ft of wire and the receiver/and collar and flags for $129. Wow. I am almost positive it is the same one I just saw on spoiled-pups. And I can go pick it up to day. The thing that confuses me is the guy at Lowes read the box and it said up ...

Ok, just replying to myself here while I wait for answers...but I found a kit on spoiled-pups.com. PetSafe Premium Deluxe In-Ground Radio Fence for $209.95 including shipping and tax. Is that a decent deal? That is with 500ft of wire...which I hope will be enough. We have an acre, but her yard is on...

Need help with purchasing invisible fencing
I'm back again. :) I don't know if any of you remember me with my Maggie who digs out. I took your suggestions to heart and she spends MUCH of her time inside with us now which makes her very happy. My son is almost 9 and he plays with her a lot when they are outside, but if he turns his back on her...

Here is what my receipt says DHLP-CPV Annual ($40) Rabies 1 yr ($10) So I don't know what all that means. I have so many crisis' going on at the moment. My TMJ has flared up and I now have a mouth splint which is not fun. My ds7 is covered in poison ivy which is um, not pleasant. So I'm thrilled Mag...
