Maggie is back to normal this afternoon! I am betting it was a reaction to the shot/shots. I had already checked her dog food against the recall list and that is fine. She did have a treat from the vets office, but SURELY they've checked those! The vet called me a bit before 8:00 this morning. I did...

She is about the same I would say. She acts like she has been beat up. She FREAKED out when the assistant was trying to take a stool sample....and then she had blood drawn from her front paw, and then the shots on the back of her neck. AND THEN her anal glands expressed. Maybe she is just sore all o...

My proud moment with Maggie
I know I don't do near all I should. I came on her AGAIN several weeks ago, got lots of great advice about the IF and I STILL haven't bought and installed it. It's on my list though. BUT. Yesterday, my 7 year old son accidentally let Maggie out of the yard. We were about to leave for piano practice ...

Well, I woke the vet up  and he made me feel 'slightly' better....I forced her to get up and walk outside for a minute and she was able to do that...but getting back up the steps that she usually bounds up was not easy for her. The vet said since the shot was so early this morning it is probab...

She acts drugged. I just went over to her and called her name...she roused briefly and wagged her tail, but then just layed her head down and closed her eyes...not moving at all even though I petted her all over and talked sweet to her. It is just not like her. She acts like she is sedated. She slee...

Something is wrong with Maggie
I took her for her shots this morning. Brought her home....she seemed fine. I had to go to town so I put her on her stake out leash outside. When I brought her in the house around 9:00 tonight she is NOT herself. She acted like she could barely step into the house. Now she is very still on her mat a...

I've been looking at them on line this morning. We could attach it to our fence on 3 sides and then bury it from the house to the fence on the 3rd side. I'm a little confused about how to configure it though. I went out and measured my back yard this morning and I come up with 120 X 120. The side wi...

Sigh. I check this site every day, every 5 minutes and no one replys. Then when I stop checking I see 18 replies. I gather that 'Shelly' (is that Swillow?) chastised me severely (but then deleted the post) and someone else agreed that I deserved it. Well, maybe so. I love the dog, I take fair care o...

Thanks to you both for your replies. Jacksbuddy, that is just the sort of play by play that I need and I am anxious to try it. We have a fenced in dog park in our city, so I can take her there for this training exercise. She got out AGAIN today and I could not call her back with the treat bag. I man...

Runs off and won't come back!
Hi everyone. I am back with Maggie issues again. We are back to the digging out problem....I MUST see about getting an electronic fence, but I really want to figure out how to make her come back to me when she is out. She digs out the front. We open the back gate so she can get back in when she deci...

Maggie needs a bath
She stinks. The fleas are gone---I think we've dodged a flea infestation in our house. She needs a bath though. What can I use to bath her that will make her spell good? Her skin looks so sensitive and pink I worry that it may be easily irritated. But I need her to smell nice. Oh, and btw....my dog ...

Thanks all. Yes, the vet told me not to give her a bath before or after....I was going to give her a bath before I put it on, so I was glad she told me that. She needs a bath anyway after her day trip on Sunday. It was pouring rain for hours before we got home. She is a mess just in general and now ...

Well..... she most likely got them Sunday when she got out of the yard while we were away. I don't know how long she was out running through the pastures behind our house. I've never heard of Adams spray....is it sold everywhere? I did wash her bedding and drug her crate out on the patio....a...
