Fleas!!!! Help!!!

Ds noticed the fleas on Maggie this afternoon. I quickly put her outside and ran to the vet to get Frontline. She has NEVER had fleas, but anyway, she does now and I'm worried about my house!!!! I just vacuumed really well in the den where her crate is and where she is allowed to lie on the rug outs...

And further.....my ds is 6 and well, he likes to cause trouble sometimes. I found him in the den enticing Maggie to run wild. I put her in her crate--locked it--and summoned him to the bathroom for a bath. I ran the water...waited....hollered for him.....walked down the hall......and glimpsed both d...

As I was typing that out I thought of that...but she was fixated on the treat jar...I don't think she even realized I had the leash.

I have GOT to do better about working with her. Still and yet, the baby steps make me so happy.

Just a quick brag

I'm so amazed by this.... Well, you all know my Maggie has not been the most disciplined of dogs, but I have worked with her on a few commands. I've been working on teaching her to 'sit' while I leash her and unleash her. She does that quite well for me. Doing anything for my 6 year old son is a who...

Thanks everyone. The trouble is she didn't dig in the dirt. She just snapped off the top of the tree. I think it needs a fence around it and a man how thinks a 2 foot tall pine tree is safe in the back yard with a dog is just nuts. Adele, my girl looks so much like yours. :) I do need to work on the...

Spoke too soon...Dh transplanted a 2 foot tall pine tree yesterday. It was over 100 degrees and really way too hot to being doing something like that. But I digress. Guess what Maggie did to the tree this morning? She was only out there along for about 2 minutes! Grrrrrrrr!!!!! We want a tree in tha...

Hi Everyone!

I just dropped by to announce that I've finally had my dog Maggie spayed. Just last Wednesday though, so still no verdict on how it will affect her behavior. However, since I last dropped by with my sob stories, my little escape artist/mad digger, has been MUCH better in all regards. Mostly this is ...

Thanks Kathy.... She turned 2 in January.....is that really still adolescence? I have already noticed she is calming down. Tonight she was crated (with the door open) and my dh and ds went out on the patio. She came out of her crate and sat in front of the patio door patient as could be waiting for ...

Well, as the worst Brittany owner on the boards, even *I* board my Maggie when we go out of town.

I talked to my Dad this afternoon and he will come and help me put the IF in. So....just need to actually order it.

I think I will have to get the pool for her. It gets so gross though because she will step in and out of it several times and it gets all dirty. Oh well, I guess she at least won't die from thirst even if the water is dirty.

Maggie is crated while we are gone. A couple of times we've forgotten to shut and latch her door before we leave. We come home to the funniest things. She goes into ds's room and pulls the covers all off his bed. Then she will grab several of his stuffed animals and take them into the living room. I...

Yes, Catharina ds doesn't quite get why his dog won't 'listen' to him. Obedience training is on my short list of things to buy for this dog. Thanks Tim for the link. That is a great price. The best I've seen. We are going to put the in ground fence in, train her on it, then fill all the holes along ...

Thanks so much! Those are great prices. I dread having to install it. I'm going to ask my Dad to help. Oh, and I explained the Peacock pose to ds and he thinks this is a grand idea. He hasn't had much opportunity to try it. Tonight though I came home from the store and Maggie was out. Ds says, 'I sa...
