Re: Rosie finds shade.

Thanks Barb. Yes we are loving AZ. The winter climate was great and the spring so far is wonderful. We moved in July last year so we had a few 102 degree days but always got that cooling at night. The job is great and our life without hurricanes and high insrance premiums are great - LOL. We missed ...

Re: Rosie finds shade.

Thanks everyone.

Yep - No trees for her to climb Cindy. Did you see the one of her trying to clear the wall in our backyard here in AZ?

Hi Mglaub, I see you are in Mesa. We are in Safford.

Re: Rosie finds shade.

She seems to be doing well. Shes 7 now and has been cancer free for about 7 months. Her last xrays showed a bit of arthritus so we started her on supplements. She just got her summer clipping and is enjoying the warmth of the sun.

Rosie finds shade.

We bought a bench to put in front of our house as we continue our landscaping and we took Rosie out as we gardened and the kids rode their bikes etc. Look how smart our girl is.... LOL She'd rather stay cool and lay on the rock then lay on her pillow in the hot AZ sun. http://img683.imageshack.us/im...

Re: Rosie's Checkup

You are all welcome and thanks for your interest and support. Check your pups often - throat / stomach etc for lumps - bumps etc. This was a complete stroke of luck that our nephew rubbing and hugging Rosie as she was leaving with Patti to fly out here to AZ that it was noticed. We play, pet, rub, a...

Rosie's Checkup

Well, 6 months after Rosie's cancerous Thyroid tumor was removed, all seems well. She had her second 3 month exam (bloodwork and X-rays) and all functions/levels are good and the x-rays did not reveal any growths. Other than a bit more sleep, she is still her active, voiceterous, lovable and charmin...

Rosie's Birthday Today

Well, time rolls on and Rosie is approximately 7 years old. We rescued her about 6 years ago and she was estimated to be about 1 year old at that time. We gave her Jan 1 as her birthday. She seems to be doing ok since her surgery to remove a cancerous thyroid tumor, but seems to be slowing down a bi...

Re: Gastric Torsion in 11yr old brit

Good thoughts your way for you and Ruby. Its so cool how everyone really knows their dog and pays so much attention to their actions and habits. Its so obvious when something is not right and in this case, it was spot on reaction. We am glad she came through it and please keep us posted on her recov...

Re: Update on Sierra's Cancer Battle

Wow - great news is right. We continue to keep an eye on Rosie after her cancerous tumor removal ~ 2 months ago. So far so good. We opted against chemo as there we no obvious signs of her cancer spreaqding other than some detected in her blood. We hope for the best for Sierra and her continued impro...
