Re: Moving Rosie?

Well - its a long drive - about 1350 miles. As far a heat and humidity and rain, remember, I am in New Orleans. 90 today with 90% humidity only to get worse the next few months. I welcome 30% humidity in AZ. Maybe not the 100 dgree temps but thats only for 3 months or so in Safford. Gets into 60's a...

Moving Rosie?

Well it is official. We are Arizona bound in July /August. Can someone give us some advice on relocating Rosie. Patti and I and the kids are being flown and our stuff moved and stored till we find a home. Patti looked into flying Rosie but it appears there is a temperature restiction? Is that true? ...

Re: Going Over The Fence

Brings Back Memories - LOL. I remember when we got skinny butt Rosie at 10 months old and the first time shes in the yard, she flys up on our 6 ft wooden fence and attempts to climb it. Feet over the top trying to scratch up like a cat. After a few corrections and about 10lbs, she was not able to ju...

Re: We Are Moving!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and concerns. I'll be curious to see how Rosie handles the elevated temps. I know the mild/dry nights will be t her liking and she'll probably loungue those hot days away. As far as fleas, we have been lucky. We put some sand (fill) in our yard and that seemed to ...

Re: We Are Moving!

Yes I have visited twice and its a beautiful "but brown" area with some mountains and very nice views. Although their are those 110 degree days - its is a drier heat but also there is that night cool down into the 60's. Here in new orleans, after may, it gets into the 90's most days with 90% humidit...

We Are Moving!

Hello Everyone. I hope everyone is well. We read the board periodically but are not quite as active as most of you know since we have adopted Haley and Josh - who are fine by the way. I have just about all but accepted a relocation offer to Safford Arizona which will allow me to continue my 15 years...

No we never could figure out what it was that she ate, She is pretty much back to her old self and on "schedule". Her poop right after the vet visit was very rubbery for a few days and alot of it. We really have no idea what she ate - nothing was evident other then the weird rubbery texture. At firs...

Rosie Constipated.

Hi All. Happy New Year. I am posting to ask if anyone else had a similar situation with their pup. On January 2nd, we woke up to Rosie really lethargic and somewhat out of it staring and sitting by the baby gate. She is usually sacked out on her pillow sleeping. She ate readily but did not want to g...

Our adoption is Final.

Hi All, We wanted to share this day with you all with a few pictures. A few years ago (almost 5), we announced our newest edition, a 10 month old out of control brit named Rosie. Now we are proud to announce our 2 newest editions, Haley and Josh (also out of control - just kidding). Our adoption was...

Thanks so Much.

Thanks and we'll keep an eye on it. This will make Patti feel alot better. Of course she was ready to rush her off to the vets once she noticed it. The pad is a bit discolored and swollen just a bit right where it attaches going to her skin. Other than licking it a good bit, shes in no pain. I check...

Question on Rosie's Foot/Pad?

I looked in the archives and couldn't find anything exactly like this so I am asking for some input. Yesterday, we noticed her licking her back paw alot on the side. It appears there is a bump/swelling or something right where her pad turns and joins her skin. It is not bleeding and she doesn't show...

Home.

Hi everyone. Our house is fine, but we are still without power. It seems to be an isolated area, probably a transformer, that is the cause. We are at my mom's house (empty since she passed in Feb) which has full power and cable. Thanks Mom - Rosie and the kids are fine. It looks like sanity is...

Hi All.

Well we are still evacuated but all indications are that damage was minor in our area (trees, tree limbs, and power outage). The storm was not quite as intensy as it could have been and it also went far enough South of us that our area missed the eyewall. Once the roads get cleared and the power get...
