Thanks everyone. Dogs are doing well this morning, no one has vomited and all slept until past 10 - including me. I was aware of the Diamond dog food recall months ago. Dog food from a specific geographic area was recalled, I believe southeast USA. We live in the midwest and were not affected. Even ...

No chemicals have been put down in our yard recently. I suppose it's possible that neighbors sprayed and the rain might have washed it into our yard. The three dogs got sick so suddenly. But all four dogs have normal stools which is a good sign. And 13 still shows no sign whatsoever of upset tummy. ...

Thanks. I will check to see if we have any chicken, haven't done the chicken with rice before. Our vet always had me make hamburger and rice for our sick kids. I am getting quite concerned about the foster. He vomited again and is a bit lethargic. Usually he will come to me when I hold out my arms, ...

Three of Four Dogs Sick

We are long-time Brittany owners. I am baffled by what is going on in our house tonight though. We have four Brittanys here right now: 2 y/o F, 3 y/o M, 9 y/o M and 13 y/o F. 2 and 3 belong to us, 9 is our ABR foster recovering from heartworm - four weeks sent treatment, and 13 is our daughter's dog...

Great pictures. I adopted a little athlete from ABR last year. I think she would love agility. I taught her to jump through a hula hoop. Our neighbor's son has Down's. I will ask him if he wants to see Kallie jump and he'll say "YES!!!" She loves children and is very pleased when he claps for her - ...

Yes, Karen, it does look something like that except he lays on her neck. My little Brittany girl puts up with it for a while then gets up and walks away. I think maybe our foster boy had someone he used to snuggle up with - either human or canine. He is socialized with both species and is a little s...

My little miniature schnauzer died last summer at age 15. The last thing he did was look me straight in the eyes, then he took his last breath. The trust and love in his eyes when he died touched my soul deeply. We became ABR fosters shortly thereafter. I have not had to help a foster cross the brid...

We did a foster-to-adopt with our little 2 year old girl. She was not too socialized when we got her and would rarely make eye contact with us. She is becoming more and more comfortable. Recently, she started talking to us. Sometimes it's before something fun (like going for a walk) but sometimes it...

Anyone know what this behavior could be?

We have a foster Brittany, he is almost 9. When our female Brittany lays on the rug, he will come and lay down beside her then put his head across her neck. She'll look at me as if to say "help, I'm not a pillow." He has done this several times. Any clue what this is about?
