Re: Pet Restraints
I happened to see the show... my jaw literally dropped when they showed the testing.

What a handsome boy! Honestly, he's a ringer for my Rocket...
Glad to hear things are going well.

Toad Question
Always something! About two weeks ago the dogs started going nuts over something that is living under our deck. Turns out that the mysterious creature is a toad. He’s a cute little guy, and I don’t want to see him get hurt. I’m also concerned about the dogs getting sick, should the worst happen and ...

Re: alternative to Interceptor?
I just ran out of Interceptor, and the vet recommended Iverhart Plus. I don't know much about it, but it was less expensive than the Interceptor, and there is a picture of a Brittany on the box. Hopefully a good sign, lol.

Re: Worst/Best
Yes, the whole episode was terrifying on so many levels... Jack really doesn't have a history of chasing critters, or trying to get out. In fact I usually have to give him a push to make him go outside at all! Now Rocket is another story, and we do pretty good surveillance on the fence because of hi...

Worst/Best
Today was both. Jack dug out from the fence this morning. I think he saw a deer...I heard him barking and by the time I came around to the back yard, he was gone. The entire morning was a living nightmare. About two hours in, we heard that somebody saw him on the bike path, headed for the railroad t...

Re: New Brittany mom
Hi Erin! Your puppy is adorable...!!
Brittanies are indeed a good choice for active people. I run with our dogs every morning and they love to go on hikes. I'm sure Brady (and the new puppy) will become great companions for you whatever you do with them. Welcome to the boards!

I'm so sorry to hear about Murphy's illness. I can't offer any advice about his diet, but I will keep him in my prayers. I'm sure this has been very hard for you and your family. He's a beautiful pup, and so very lucky to have such loving care.

Brittany Sighting
Ok, I know it's ridiculous, but I get really excited when I run into other people with Brittanys. They just aren't a very common breed around this area. Most people think Rocket is a Springer, and have no clue WHAT Jack is, lol. So, today we were hiking along the banks of the Susquehanna River when ...

Re: Good Friday at the vets
I really believe she needs to run and hunt to be happy Oh Adele, I hear you... that is Rocket to a tee! He has come in from the field bloody and torn many times, but nothing makes him happier. I could never take that away from him, its what he lives for. And I do have to say, its absolutely amazing...

Re: National ABR Get Together - May 5th
Barring any unforseen circumstances, we'll be there. I'll probably bring Rocket, but haven't decided on Jack... sometimes other dogs stress him out. It will depend on who else from my family comes along. I'm really looking forward to it!

Re: Rocket Strikes Again
Its gotta be touch on Jack though. I don't know... Jack is really the perfect foil for Rocket's personality... very sweet and uncomplicated. He also absolutely worships Rocket. Jack really reminds me of an adoring younger sibling who is so happy to be included that he doesn't even care about anythi...

Rocket Strikes Again
I know that Rocket is smart, but sometimes he really makes me wonder.... Ok, so the other day, my son was playing a video game when Rocket came into the room with Jack's "Baby" in his mouth. He ran to the sofa, pushed a pillow aside, and buried Baby down between the cushions. Then, he put the pillow...
