How about giving her something for her anxiety for the next few days? I think it really helps when I've got one that is like little Miss Holly.

I've kept 2. The first was Jack Jack. He was my first foster. He was in the Lancaster, CA shelter as a stray. He came with kennel cough. He was very mild mannered until he got healthy. He is a "micro" Brittany, only about 16 lbs and small. He has the dark eyes and nose and a long tail. He is very mu...

Fisher was just adopted to a great family. She had him for almost 3 months which most of us other foster homes thought was a...

When I hear things like "you need to wait" etc. All I hear is blah, blah, blah. You do what you think is best for your family. I now have 4 Brits, one is 16 weeks today, and 2 other dogs. The more the merrier at my house. The older ones teach the younger ones. They provide playmates for each other n...

A volunteer can do almost anything. Many of us are foster homes. Others help with transports, evaluating shelter dogs, do home visits for potential adopters, help with adoption events, etc. You name it and someone probably volunteers to do it. You should contact your state coordinator if you are int...
