Victor got his Rally Excellent title today!!! Even though he had a biopsy for a growth on the roof of his mouth on Monday and has a swollen front leg from a bee sting/spider bite from Wednesday, my Brittany boy was willing to endure an obedience trial today.
We tried for another CD qualifying run, but his leg must bother him enough that he doesn't want to sit for the 1 minute required. He has good attitude but just doesn't want to sit.
We are trying for the CD again tomorrow.

The star continues to rise for Team Victor Victor is not going to let some small infirmity interfere with WINNING!!! ATTA BOY Victor, and congratulations to you both !!
We are back at it today - trying for CD legs. And apparently the leg only bothers him in a sit in the competition ring. After we came home, Victor SAT [not laying down, not standing] on the deck watching for birds and bunnies for at least 10 minutes. Guess it's all about motivation and focus.

We had 2 chances on Saturday for the CD title. We got the first one. Heeling was nearly perfect. Stand for exam was perfect. Victor went into heel position on the recall instead of sitting in front. But the sit was perfect! And we got our 2nd CD leg.
5 hours later, in 85 degrees, and Victor had even better attitude, better heeling [on and off leash], perfect stand for exam, perfect recall, perfect return to heel position. Perfect on the 3 minute down. We were in the 1 minute sit, at 43 seconds, 44 seconds [uh oh the front foot moved], 45 seconds [uh on the ears drooped], 46 seconds... and Victor laid down. So close. But the attitude and teamwork was beautiful and worth spending the time and money.
We're off until August so will wait until then to try again for the CD title. In the meantime, practicing sits on are on the agenda!

Oh so close. Well, maybe Victor doesn't want the "fun" to be over with too soon He's doing fab, I'm sooo impressed with all you two have accomplished. Know August will fill out that title, and then whats next??
So I'm going out this afternoon to watch my first rally practice. I'm thinking of putting Stori in rally in January, but oh boy, do we need to practice on her not getting distracted. Super excited to see what I'm in for
