December 15th . Molly weighs 59.7 lbs :D We broke into the 50 lb range . My vet was in the front office when I went in to weigh Molly and I showed him . He was very impressed as he hasn't seen her since her initial visit when she weighed 90lbs. :o Anyway he gave me the thumbs up and said we should be the poster children for dog weight loss :P . 34lbs. down and about 10 -15 to go . I got my Christmas present when I looked at that scale . 8) Dave

What wonderful news! You've certainly given Molly a brand new lease on life and probably extended her life by several years. It's such a shame when owners replace love and attention with food, but it seems with these bigger dogs, that's what happens somewhere.

Molly sounds like a great girl! And I bet when she gets her girlish figure back completely she'll be stunning too! Great job Dave!

Way to go Dave and Molly! I'm sure she's much happier now that she isn't lugging around all that extra weight. You've done an amazing job, Dave :D

I took Molly in the have evaluated for an elective surgery to remove the fat tumor near her Mamary sac and she weighs 54.4 lbs . :D My vet hadn't really seen her except for passing through the office when we were getting food or renewing her Rabies . Anyway he was astounded and said she should be the poster dog for weight loss for Obese dogs  . He said she is at a good weight considering her overall size . She has a huge chest and her legs are twice the size of Levi's . This all stems from starting at 94 lbs. . It took big legs to pack her . I wonder about all that skin she has . It looks like a blood hound , well not really just kinda  . She goes in to remove her fatty tumor Jan. 31st . I have put her on a light maintenance kibble . 8) Dave

She looks so much healthier now - what a pretty girl! I love that curly coat and the pic of her and Levi cuddled up together. You've done a wonderful thing for her. I am sure she feels so much better now.

Thanks for all the well wishes and compliments . Molly has the Brittany indomitable spirit and energy . It was kind of frustrating to her , but she took it in stride . I used Science Diet prescription kibble and then supplemented her diet with good veggies as trearts and a ton of exercise . She is a new dog and we have probably tripled her life expectancy . When I first got her she could just barely hop up up on my bed and couldn't outrun me  . Now I couldn't catch her and she can and will probably hunt this Fall . I'll post some pictures after her Summer haircut next week . She went in the river the other day and looked like a skinny Rat with a big head and ears  . Dave
