Hair loss from insect/spider bite?

Post by Alifaire »

Well, the saga continues... the insect/spider bite on Victor's front leg is now losing all the hair around the bite site. The bald spot is about 1.5 inches up and down the leg and around half of the leg. The skin is dark pink to brownish pink. He is not favoring the leg, but does lick it occasionally.

It's been over a week since the initial bite and almost all of the swelling is gone. There's no fever, no lethargy.

Should I continue to be concerned about it or is it just typical for what could be a spider bite to cause that much hair loss?

I guess, from reading, hair loss is how you can tell it is a spider bite.

Also, no fever, no worries...
