RIP Cooper

Post by dmedric »

We lost our Cooper (8 years old) over the holidays. He was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure, Atrial Fibrillation, and a prolapsed valve about 8 months ago. He was on five different medications trying to address all the symptoms and slow the progression of the disease -- finally his heart gave out. Run free Cooper.

I'm really sorry to hear about Cooper. We lost our Annie (years ago now) due to congestive heart failure. She, too, was on all sorts of drugs and she made it about 10 months. I'm sure it's a tough time for you - my sympathies.

Oh...so sorry to hear this...and he was only 8 yrs old...not that losing them even when they are older is easier...
He was lucky to have you to take care of him and help him be as comfortable as he could be...

Oh, so saddened to hear about Cooper....everyone would have hoped for more years for sure. It is losing a family member here on the message board as well...years of "knowing" Cooper makes it seem so close to home and heart. Wishing for you only the good memories as you try to move on.

How heartbreaking. I am so sorry to hear this. I know all too well the pain of losing a dog much too soon.
