Did your Britt make you laugh today? Did he do something so smart, you are blown away? Those puppy teeth causing you to tear up, and you need an outlet? Or do you want to post a picture of his or her latest point? This is the place for it!

Re: A New Addition
OMG - I'm not sure there's much better than 2 Brittanys snuggled up together. That IS the biggest smile. Love it!
Re: A New Addition
I think that picture belongs in the ABR calendar!

Re: A New Addition
Well Kody is 4 1/2 months old now, he is getting the brittany legs. We are Still working on house breaking, I think he has the stubborn head on him ,. Chance is starting to slow down, he will be 10 years old on 12/ 14th, he will play with Kody for about 5 to 10 min and Chance is wore out. We are waiting for a manners class to put Kody in. Kody like to put his front feet on the table,(while we are eating) surfs the counter tops.
Re: A New Addition
Thanks for the update and the "cute" stories! Remember Cindy ... you do not need a puppy

Re: A New Addition
I am sure he is a lot of fun! Imagine that … a Brittany that counter surfs.

Re: A New Addition
Well, Kody , is to tall to show, he is 21 1/4 inches high, standerd is 20 3/4. I do not hunt, and someone said ,that i should try barn hunt,or agility. Any ideas ?
Re: A New Addition
I did some agility with Kayla when we first got her and really enjoyed it. The biggest problem I had was that she did NOT like waiting for the other "less intelligent" dogs
and would go off on her own trying out the equipment. Entertaining from my perspective but not sure the instructor thought so! What about training him to be a therapy dog?

Re: A New Addition
there are so many "new" sports to try with your dog...I think a lot depends on what you like to do and what your dog likes...don't always know that until you try...nose-work is one that is becoming more popular here...takes advantage of their love of sniffing...Rally is a more relaxed version of Obedience activities...lots of different exercises to learn but you can talk to your dog as you go through them. A number of my friends are doing Barn Hunt. Here is St Louis, Purina has a center and there are lots of opportunities to go and try out different "sports." I'd try to find some groups or place where you could try different things and find what you and Kody like...being a therapy dog is always a possibility, and again, lots of different kinds of activities...some dogs are well suited to go to a library and "listen" to children read...some do well in hopsitals/nursing homes, while some don't handle all the smells, sounds, etc. very well...again, find a therapy dog group who can work with you and Kody to find a good match. My soap box--wherever you go, make sure the trainers use only positive reinforcement...this should be a fun thing for you and Kody!
