Did your Britt make you laugh today? Did he do something so smart, you are blown away? Those puppy teeth causing you to tear up, and you need an outlet? Or do you want to post a picture of his or her latest point? This is the place for it!

Flooding continues around us. On Memorial Day we took a short road trip and saw so much water in farm fields. Now, just a little over a week later, the way we went is closed due to more flooding.

The Tuesday after Memorial Day, we had a hail storm. The noise was terrifying. It hit in the dead of night and woke all of us - me, my husband and our two Britts. All of us were hanging onto my husband. In the morning, our house looked like it had green confetti sprayed onto it. The hail shredded leaves and the wind drove them into the house. The hail also broke the glass of our storm door. Our roof was totaled, that is the big ticket item. And my garden.

The city used snow plows to move the hail out of the streets. We had unmelted hail in our yard for the entire day. CharLee and Teddy would go out and eat it.

I am so sorry to hear about all of this destruction. It seems that every time I turn on the news the situation gets worse. Your roof (and garden) is a bad thing to lose but at least you are all safe. And here I sit, in Virginia, just hoping we get a little rain so I don't have to start feeding the horses hay and a year ago we thought the rain would never end.

Yes, we are grateful. We know how much worse things can be. My son-in-law's grandparents lost everything in Harvey, my cousin lost everything in the Paradise fires, my friend's mom lost everything in the flooding near us .. and so on. I hope you get some rain!
