Did your Britt make you laugh today? Did he do something so smart, you are blown away? Those puppy teeth causing you to tear up, and you need an outlet? Or do you want to post a picture of his or her latest point? This is the place for it!

Re: Oldest Brittany???
I can't top 17, but my inlaws' dog (Sparky) lived to be 15 and a half, and our Rebel made it to age 13.
Re: Oldest Brittany???
I can't top 17 either but my first Brit, Taffy was 2 1/2 months short of 16. What a love she was!
Re: Oldest Brittany???
I think Auntiemom has a 16 year old grand-brittany...

Diamond is now 16 and will be 17 on May 15.
Sooz is technically right, Diamond is my grandpuppy. But I was Diamond's mom for many years and in my heart I still am. We got her when our daughter was 15. Diamond always favored our daughter and we always joke that it is true: Diamond is our girl's best friend.

I just stumbled across this tread. I had to put my sweet old brittany down this last spring, he was one month past his 18th birthday. The vet said he was the oldest brittany he'd ever seen. I really miss that sweet old man

Re: Oldest Brittany???
Wow, that is old!!! We had a springer/britt mix live to be 18 but none of our purebreds have.

Re: Oldest Brittany???
I've met two people who had Brits who lived to be 20.
Maybe we should all eat what those pups did.

Hi, new here. I had 2 Britts, Anni Utah, from Hidden Creek. She was a CND Champ and lived to 15 1/2. My other Britt, Dakota, I rescued. Dak is now in her 20th year and is sleeping at my feet. 20+ years, wow!
Re: Oldest Brittany???
Sammie is 16.
We ran (yes, ran!) 2 miles this afternoon. She does not do it regularly, but our daily jogs become a run at least once a week.
We did 8 miles on Saturday, 4000 feet elevation gain.
THis summer she consistently did 8 -12 miles hikes once per week plus a run/jog every day. At her current energy level, 18 is a minimum she will make it to.
Right now, its 8:30 at night and she is hunting out back. And she will get me up at least 2 times tonight to do the same thing....
I have never had a brittany with so much energy after 10 years old. She actually seems to be regressing.

My Brittany was 16 on February 17, 2018. I guess he’s going for the record.

Re: Oldest Brittany???
You all are so lucky with your old Britts !!!!! After we lost 3 in a row in pretty short order, I told my vet that we can NEVER lose Wesley. Wes is only 10 1/2 now so I told my vet I was giving him plenty of warning to find the magic pill that will enable him to live forever. If only...................

I had a friend who fostered for Brittany Rescue in Texas. She had one named D2 (Dixie too as she had another one named Dixie). D2 made it about a few months past her 19th birthday.

Dixie Too (“Dickie Too” “D-Too” "D2") celebrated her NINETEENTH birthday in February. She came to BRIT when she was 15. Her Mom Catherine Mooney loved this girl so much and she will be missed so missed at Cathy's 'Senior BRIT Brittany Compound'.
Cathy says "This amazing senior crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Monday afternoon. She has been a loving and devoted companion these past years. Kind and gentle to each senior as they joined our Clan. I cherish the thought that waiting for her at the end of the bridge is 'Higgins' her favorite companion, who made his journey this past March. Thank you BRIT Rescue for blessing me with these beautiful companions."
Cathy, the thanks go to YOU ... for taking in the BRIT seniors and loving them so much <3 <3 <3 "
