I'd like to report two holiday miracles

Post by holisticmom »

Miracle 1: Sparkle, a very petite girl Brit, got pulled from from a total pit of a shelter by an intrepid volunteer from a local rescue group. This was on 12/18. She was on the PTS list for 12/24.
Miracle 2: Holistic Dad, after months of chanting that he never wanted a dog again because it hurt too much when Orion crossed the Bridge, cracked. ("No, I don't want another--what's her name? How old is she? Well, you need a walking partner...These elevated feeders are tacky; I'll make her one.") Ms. Princess Sparkle Catherine Sophia will be coming home after she gains a little more weight, gets past the giardia  from the shelter, and gets fixed.
We're looking at her coming home about 1/15. 8)

Yaaayy! I got goosebumps reading this! I am so happy you guys are being adopted, I remember how hard it was on both of you losing Orion, this is one lucky girl. And her name? "After the angel who got her out of the black hole of a shelter" Perfect!!

When I saw your name on some of the postings this morning, right away I thought "hmm, I wonder when they will decide the time is right to get another dog." Little did I know it was now!!! I am so excited for you but most of all I know how much this new dog will help to fill that gigantic hole in your heart. Can't wait to see pictures and hear all about her.

((((Thanks, everyone))))!! 8)
Sparkle had to run back to the vet today--she got a bit dehydrated yesterday from the diarrhea flare-up. :(
So I'm waiting on word.

All my wishes for a rapid path to perfect health. What a lucky dog. She's found a wonderful home and I'm sure she'll bring you years of joy, love and laughter. It is hard to lose a friend. We still miss our Chena Dome BUT the sheer pleasure that the boys bring us every day.....what can I say, it completes us !!!!! Our lives would be empty without them. Congrats to all 3 of you !!!!!
