Today is Pippa's Birthday

And she's 4 years old. This is the first adopted dog we've had where we actually "knew" her birthday so that's kind of fun. To celebrate, all 3 dogs broke into the grocery bags when we weren't looking and devoured an entire coffee cake!!!! Do you think they were worried we weren't going to give Pippa a party? Instead we had to take them for a 60 minute hike/run/swim to burn off the calories. They had fun but it wasn't my favorite thing to do in 95 degree heat and humidity. We couldn't even go in the pond with them. Everyone is home, showered, and cooling off in the air conditioned house.

If anybody can do "spontaneous" for a birthday celebration it is a Britt Happy B'day Pippa, and I bet Mom came up with some other goodies as well as the "cool" exercise jaunt

Happy B day Pippa! They know what they want and how to get it. I'm amazed you took them out in that heat! We've been hiding in our house for what seems like forever... the heat has broken - finally - and know it's pouring buckets of rain

If we didn't take them (or us!) out in that heat, we'd have to spend the summer indoors!! But when it is that hot we always go somewhere they can swim or wade in a creek. The dogs do much better than I do!
