My puppies contract includes a 2 year health guarantee. I really like the breeder as a person and respect her breeding program. My puppy was diagnosed a hereditary condition so cannot be bred which according to the contract is considered something that would be included in the health guarantee. The guarantee basically said that a replacement pup will be offered.
However, I am being offered a pick puppy in any future litter but we can't have another dog right now nor are we going to replace him for a new pup. Is a refund customary? How is this usually handled?
